Always wear eye protection. I knew a kid who got shot in the eye... he almost went blind, and he could've gotten a blood clot and died. To avoid a crappy situation like this, buy a paintball mask at a sporting goods store. Make sure the mask is anti-fog, and can stand up to everything your gun can dish out. You can always get a good deal at a store like Dick's or Dunhams.
